On June 24, Sunny Optical Technology held the 2026 Investor Day, with management including Chairman Wang Tan Jiong, CEO Wang Wenjie, and CTO Dr. Gu Bo engaging in in-depth exchanges with hundreds of domestic and international investors both online and offline.

Chairman Wang Tan Jiong delivered the welcome address, highlighting three major transformations at the Company. First, following the renewal of the management team, the "platform + business" matrix management model has accelerated resource efficiency, which will be reflected in operating performance. Second, the Company has initiated a dual-drive strategy of "product value + capital value," establishing Sunny Optical Capital in Hong Kong to build a capital-market "ecosystem" that secures industrial high ground, ensures supply-chain safety, and incubates new growth trajectories. Third, the Company is stepping up R&D investment and building a global innovation network, with research institutes established in Shenzhen, Ningbo, and Europe, and the appointment of Dr. Gu Bo, Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, as Vice President and CTO to accelerate the translation of frontier technologies and sharpen core competitiveness. He stated that, drawing on its deep optical expertise and an open collaborative approach, Sunny is well-positioned to seize the historic opportunities presented by the AI computing-power revolution.

CEO Wang Wenjie, together with CTO Gu Bo and the management teams of the subsidiaries, provided an in-depth sharing on the company's strategic layout, business advancement, and innovation outcomes. The CEO noted that the AI era demands a balanced consideration of societal and long-term human needs. The Group has established a CTO system led by Dr. Gu Bo, partnering with leading universities and industry partners to achieve deep coupling among frontier research, engineering capabilities, and customer requirements. The Company has clearly defined two strategic anchors: "optical sensing as the gateway to physical AI" and "optical interconnect as the backbone of AI infrastructure," with three business pillars advancing in synergy: consolidating the mobile and automotive foundation; accelerating the deployment of optical infrastructure for AI computing; and empowering new physical-AI terminals through optics. All three pillars share the same technology base, extending from components and modules to system solutions and complete devices. Core projects are progressing as planned, with operations remaining robust.

Over the past four decades, Sunny has enabled cars and mobile phones to "see" the world; in the decades ahead, we will enable AI to "see" the world.
